Rulantica is Europa-Park's all-year water world in Rust, with more than 50 slides and attractions spread across themed areas, plus the Hyggedal sauna and relaxation zone above the pool hall. Tickets are priced by visiting date rather than by a single flat rate, so the day you choose matters as much as the ticket type.

Every admission option is dated: you pick a day when you buy online, and the ticket is valid for that reserved day only. The sections below set out which ticket suits a full family day, a short evening dip, a wellness-focused visit or repeat trips.

What Rulantica is and who each ticket type suits

Rulantica combines a large indoor water world with an outdoor pool area, a sauna and steam-bath zone in Hyggedal, and dedicated areas for toddlers, families and thrill-seekers. Europa-Park lists every attraction by audience, so you can match the day to the group before you choose a ticket length.

A full-day ticket makes sense if you want slides, pool time and a meal without watching the clock; evening and moonlight tickets suit travellers staying nearby who want a few hours of water time after a day at Europa-Park or on the road. Couples and adults travelling without children often gravitate to the Hyggedal add-on for the sauna landscape and quieter lounging.

How Rulantica prices work: date-based price categories

Rulantica prices move with the visiting day. The park publishes price categories, quoting a higher online adult day ticket in the top band, a mid band and a low-season band, and the same structure applies to child and senior rates.

The published price table covers visits from late March 2026 through mid-March 2027, with age bands of 0-3, 4-11, 12+ and 60+. When you choose a date in the online shop, the applicable band appears before payment, which is the quickest way to see how much a school holiday, weekend or midweek date adds.

Because the price is tied to the date, flexible planning usually costs more than fixing a day early. If your trip has slack, compare two or three candidate dates in the shop before committing, and treat the cheapest band as your signal that the park expects lighter demand.

Day tickets: validity window, age bands and toddler entry

The standard day ticket covers entry from 9.30am to 10pm on the date you book, which is effectively a full day in the water world. Children aged 4-11 pay a lower rate than adults 12+, seniors 60+ get their own band, and toddlers aged 0-3 enter free.

Free toddler entry still needs to be counted in your booking, and accompanying adults need their own tickets because capacity is limited and the park recommends booking online in advance. Keep the age bands in mind when splitting costs: a family with two adults and two children under 12 lands in a different total than two adults and two teenagers.

Evening and Moonlight tickets: shorter windows for lower prices

The evening ticket starts at 5pm and runs to 10pm, and the moonlight ticket covers 7pm to 10pm; both cost less than a full day because the window is shorter. Age bands match the day ticket, with toddlers free and reduced rates for children and seniors.

The evening and moonlight tickets often work out well for guests combining Rulantica with Europa-Park, since you can ride coasters during the day and swim after dinner. The trade-off is a shorter slide window: arrive at the stated start time rather than drifting in later, and target the rides you most want first.

Hyggedal tickets: water world plus the relax and sauna area

Hyggedal is the separate relaxation and sauna area above the restaurant Lumålunda, roughly 1,000 square metres with views over the water world. A Hyggedal ticket bundles the water world with that area, and the combined adult rate sits above the standard day ticket.

Choose this option if you want saunas, steam baths and a quieter base between swims rather than pure slide time. Hotel guests staying at a Europa-Park resort property can pair a discounted overnight rate with the water world, which suits couples making a wellness weekend of it.

Annual pass options: ResortPass Silver and Gold

The ResortPass is the annual pass for the Europa-Park Resort, sold in Silver and Gold tiers; Silver covers predefined opening days at Europa-Park, while Gold adds full flexibility and two days in Rulantica. Each tier has separate prices for children, adults and seniors, and the current table shows both passes as unavailable at the time of listing.

If you plan several visits in a year, the annual pass only makes sense if Rulantica days are included in your tier and the pass is actually on sale. Check availability before planning around it, and compare the pass price against the number of full-day tickets you would realistically use.

Online tickets versus the ticket-office surcharge

Booking online is cheaper than paying at the gate: tickets bought at the ticket office on the day carry a fixed surcharge on the online price, and availability at the counter is not guaranteed given the park's limited capacity. That makes the online shop the default route for a planned visit.

If you buy at the office because a plan changed, expect to pay more than the same ticket online. Otherwise, buy in advance, save the confirmation offline on your phone, and keep names and dates consistent with your group.

Best-price and overnight-stay ticket bundles with earlier entry

Booking with an overnight stay at the resort brings a best-price guarantee on tickets, a lower-priced bundle than standalone online tickets and earlier admission to the water world before regular opening. The bundled ticket windows also start earlier, from 9am for day tickets and 4.30pm and 6.30pm for the evening and moonlight products.

Overnight guests can enter Rulantica 30 minutes before the standard opening time, which is a real head start on slides before day visitors arrive. Compare the bundle total against a standalone ticket plus a nearby hotel before deciding, and remember that hotel rates come with their own cancellation terms.

Adventure ticket and the Ride & Slide combination

The Adventure ticket includes early access to the water world from 9am, 30 minutes ahead of the standard opening and before the day-ticket crowd. It is pitched at guests who want to explore Rulantica with up to four companions as soon as the doors open.

For a twin-park day, the Ride & Slide ticket combines Europa-Park and Rulantica in one booking, with adult and child rates published in the ticket shop. It suits travellers with one day to spare who want coasters and water slides together, though it rarely fits a relaxed Rulantica day.

The low season special and how selected dates are priced

Sponsored

Rulantica runs a low season special on selected January to March 2027 dates, cutting roughly 15% off the standard ticket price when you book those visiting days. The published date blocks fall in mid-January, late January, early February and several weeks across March 2027.

Hotel guests can stack a further 20% off the overnight stay, breakfast and Rulantica admission on those low-season dates, along with earlier entry. Book the date first and confirm the discount appears in the basket, since the special applies only to the listed dates.

Free and reduced entry: birthday children and guests with disabilities

Children up to and including 12 enter free on their birthday: they show ID at the entrance instead of a ticket, while accompanying guests book standard tickets online because capacity is limited. This is a simple way to cut the cost of a family birthday outing.

Guests with disabilities get special rates on proof of a valid disabled pass. Children and teens aged 4 to 15 buy at the Guest Relation desk in the Rulantica lobby or at hotel receptions, and one adult companion enters free on the day; guests aged 16 and over can also book online in advance.

Comfort offers and day suites: sofa, hydda and svit options

Beyond admission, Rulantica sells reserved lounging spaces: two-person sofas in the Komfort, Lågerhus, Stillhet and Hyggedal zones, private Komfort Hyddas for up to four people, and the Rulantica Svits and VIP Svits in the Nordiskturn with private sauna, bathroom and VIP access to the Vikingløp racing slide.

These are day rentals priced well above a ticket, so they make sense for groups pooling the cost of a private base or for special occasions. Beach sofas, beach eggs and VIP yachts in the outdoor area are listed as seasonal, bookable from May to September.

Parking tickets and what they add to the total

Rulantica sells a dedicated parking ticket that adds a small fixed amount to the day's cost; the ticket shop lists it separately from admission. Car travellers therefore need to add parking on top of entry when budgeting.

Drivers arriving from the motorway should follow the Rulantica signage rather than the Europa-Park entrance, which is a separate site. For rail options and shuttle routes, use the how to get to Rulantica guide before choosing between driving and the train. For the practical details, see the Rulantica guide.

Dated versus undated tickets, vouchers and the exchange process

Voucher tickets are undated: you buy them now, then assign a date before visiting through the park's exchange page. If the valid admission price on the chosen date is higher than the voucher's purchase price, the exchange can charge the difference, and the shop shows that amount before you confirm.

Undated tickets and vouchers remain valid for three full years from purchase under the German limitation period, while free tickets only work for the specified season. If you fail to date a ticket in advance, dating it on site costs a service fee, so assign the date from home.

Each dated ticket is valid only for the reserved day and becomes invalid if unused, and Europa-Park admission does not grant entry to the water world. Re-entry after leaving Rulantica is not possible, so plan your exit for the end of the day unless staff approve otherwise.

Which ticket suits families, couples and thrill-seekers

Families with younger children usually get the most from a full-day ticket, since the toddler and family areas reward slow time and the price per hour drops the longer you stay. Families with teenagers may find the evening or moonlight ticket enough if the group mainly wants slide time.

Couples and adults often pair a Hyggedal ticket or a two-person sofa with an evening arrival, using the sauna area for a quieter couple of hours before the water world. Thrill-seekers should pick the longest window their budget allows, because the big slides are spread across the themed areas rather than clustered at the entrance.

For food timing and picnic rules, check the Rulantica Food and Restaurants guide before you build your day around a particular meal slot.

Booking practicalities and the official calendar

The official opening hours page is the source for the day's times, because Rulantica publishes current opening and closing times separately from the price table. Seasonal periods may also bring events such as the Halloween programme, which can change how a day feels for younger guests.

Buy through the official ticket shop rather than resale listings, since the park warns about fake tickets and bookings circulating online. Booking in advance also secures your capacity slot, which matters most in school holidays and around event weekends.

Plan Your Visit

The right Rulantica ticket comes down to how long you want in the water and whether you want the sauna zone included. Full-day tickets suit family days, evening and moonlight tickets suit short visits, Hyggedal suits wellness-focused adults and the ResortPass pays off only with repeat visits.

Fix your date early to see which price band applies, book online to avoid the ticket-office surcharge, and add parking or a comfort offer only if the day needs it. Confirm the day's hours on the official opening calendar before you travel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Rulantica worth it?

Rulantica suits anyone who wants a full water world rather than a hotel pool: it has more than 50 slides and attractions, separate areas for toddlers, families and thrill-seekers, plus the Hyggedal sauna area. Whether it is worth it depends on how long you stay and whether your date falls in a low or high price band.

How long do you need in Rulantica?

A full-day ticket runs from 9.30am to 10pm, and most visitors need several hours to cover slides, pools and a meal comfortably. An evening ticket gives five hours from 5pm and a moonlight ticket three hours from 7pm, which suits travellers combining Rulantica with Europa-Park.

How much does it cost to enter Rulantica?

Admission is priced by visiting date, with day, evening and moonlight tickets each in their own price range and separate rates for adults, children aged 4-11 and seniors. Toddlers aged 0-3 enter free. The official ticket page shows the exact band for a chosen date.

What is the difference between Europa-Park and Rulantica?

Europa-Park is the theme park with coasters and themed lands, while Rulantica is the separate water world next door with slides, pools and a sauna area. Europa-Park admission does not include Rulantica entry, though a combined Ride & Slide ticket covers both.

Can I buy Rulantica tickets at the gate?

Tickets are sold at the ticket office subject to availability, at a surcharge over the online price. Because capacity is limited, booking online in advance is the more reliable option, especially in school holidays.

Do children get free entry to Rulantica?

Children up to and including 12 enter free on their birthday on presentation of ID, and toddlers aged 0-3 always enter free. Accompanying guests need standard tickets booked in advance.

What is the Rulantica low season special?

On selected January to March 2027 dates, Rulantica discounts tickets by roughly 15% compared with standard prices. Hotel guests can stack a further discount on the stay, breakfast and admission for those dates.

Do hotel guests get into Rulantica earlier?

Overnight guests at the Europa-Park Resort can enter Rulantica 30 minutes before the regular opening time, and bundled hotel tickets start earlier still. Booking a stay and ticket together also brings a best-price guarantee and flexible cancellation terms.
