Hotel Caribe is the Caribbean-themed four-star hotel inside PortAventura World, built around a white sand pool and arranged in 14 buildings named after different islands. Its appeal is straightforward: unlimited PortAventura Park entry for the length of your stay is part of the room package, so the hotel works as a park base rather than a standalone seaside stay.

That makes it a natural fit for families who want to walk to the gates, for groups who plan two or three park days, and for anyone who would rather bundle accommodation and tickets than buy them separately. Couples and thrill-seekers who mainly want Ferrari Land or the big coasters should still weigh the other on-site hotels before committing.

What Hotel Caribe offers and who it suits

The hotel is a 4-star property with 24-hour reception, Wi-Fi, an entertainment programme, a games area, a buffet restaurant, a snack bar and three bars. Rooms sit across 14 themed buildings, which spreads the hotel out and means some walks to the pool and main building are longer than others.

Families with younger children get the most from it: cots are available at no extra charge subject to availability, the pool is a shallow white sand design open from May to September, and the buffet format suits mixed-age groups. The included park days also mean you can split a visit into shorter mornings and afternoons rather than pushing through one long day.

Travellers who want a quiet adults-only escape, or who plan to spend most of their time away from the parks in Salou or Tarragona, will find the resort setting and family entertainment less restful. Treat Hotel Caribe as a park-access package first and a hotel second.

Where the hotel sits within PortAventura World

Hotel Caribe is one of the official on-site hotels at PortAventura World, alongside Hotel Gold River, Hotel PortAventura, Hotel El Paso, Hotel Colorado Creek and Hotel Mansión de Lucy. Staying on site puts you inside the resort complex rather than in Salou town, which shortens the trip to the park gates and lets you return to the room mid-day.

The resort sits in the Costa Dorada near Salou and is served by road and rail links from Barcelona and Tarragona, which is why many UK and international visitors combine it with a beach stay. The hotel's own grounds include free parking subject to availability, useful if you are driving between the resort and nearby coastal towns.

Room types: Standard and Club San Juan Deluxe Superior

Standard Rooms start at 24 m² and take up to eight people across a double bed and a single sofa bed, with other configurations available, making them the practical choice for larger families. Published starting rates on the official page are from €130 per room per night, which is an indicative lead-in figure rather than the rate you will pay on a specific date.

Club San Juan Deluxe Superior rooms are larger at from 32 m², sleep up to four, and sit inside a private palm garden enclosure, so they suit couples or small families who want a quieter corner of the resort. These rooms start from €210 per room per night and include a free Express product for PortAventura Park, described in the next section.

Both grades sit within the same 14-building layout, so the decision comes down to space, occupancy and the Express entitlement rather than location. If your group needs beds for five or more, Standard is the realistic option.

What park access is included with a stay

Unlimited access to PortAventura Park is included for the length of your stay, and each stay includes one day of Ferrari Land access per person. Ferrari Land entry is subject to its opening calendar, so check that the park is operating on your dates before you build a day around it.

Caribe Aquatic Park is not part of the standard package, but guests can buy discounted tickets for the days they are staying at the hotel. If the water park matters to your group, factor those tickets into the budget alongside the room rate.

For live park operating hours and the exact dates each park opens, use the official PortAventura World calendar before you finalise travel dates. Building a two-night stay around a day when Ferrari Land is closed changes the value of the package considerably.

How many park days you get by number of nights

The official table ties park days directly to nights booked: one night gives two days in PortAventura Park, two nights gives three days, and three nights gives four days. The extra day comes from arrival and departure days both counting, so a single night is genuinely enough for two full days in the park.

Ferrari Land is fixed at one day regardless of whether you stay one, two or three nights, so lengthening the stay adds PortAventura Park days rather than more Ferrari Land time. If Ferrari Land is the main draw, a short stay plus a separate Ferrari Land ticket may suit you better than a long one.

A two-night stay is the sweet spot for most families: three park days allow one day for each major area plus a slower morning, without the cost of a fourth night. Three nights suits groups who also want a pool afternoon or a day trip to the coast.

Club San Juan extras and the Express access product

Club San Juan rooms include a free Express 10 for PortAventura Park, one per person and valid for two consecutive days, giving one fast access to 10 of the main attractions. Between 3 November 2025 and 6 January 2026, between 27 February and 22 March 2026, and between 2 November 2026 and 6 January 2027, it is replaced by Express 5 Fun plus Express 5 Adrenaline.

That seasonal swap matters if you are booking a winter or early-spring stay specifically for the Express perk: you still get five fast accesses split across family and thrill rides rather than the full ten. The Express product covers a set number of attractions once, not unlimited queue jumping, so plan which rides you spend it on.

Guests in Club San Juan also eat at their own exclusive restaurant and have access to a private palm garden enclosure around their rooms. The upgrade therefore buys space, a quieter setting and the Express entitlement together, which is where most of the value sits.

Pools, entertainment and hotel services

The white sand pool operates from May to September, so out-of-season stays centre on the parks and the hotel's indoor spaces rather than swimming. Pool towels require a deposit and a charge, and luggage storage carries an additional fee, both worth knowing before you arrive.

An entertainment programme and games area run alongside the bars and buffet, which keeps children occupied in the evenings without leaving the resort. Baby cots are free subject to availability, and free hotel parking is also subject to availability, so request both when you book rather than on arrival.

Restaurants and bars at Hotel Caribe

Buffet Bohio is the main dining room, with a changing spread designed so longer stays do not repeat the same meal. Club San Juan has its own buffet and table-service restaurant reserved for guests in those rooms.

Beyond the buffet, La Bodeguita Del Medio serves drinks, sandwiches and coffees on a lake-view terrace, Coral Reef focuses on Italian and Mediterranean dishes, and Puerto Viejo offers tapas with table service. El Tinglado is the pirate-ship bar for evening drinks, and Mango Bongo serves by the pool in the summer season only.

That spread means you can eat every meal on site without repeating a restaurant across a three-night stay, though resort dining prices sit above what you would pay in Salou. Guests with allergies or special diets should raise them with the hotel directly, as buffet kitchens handle requests individually.

Getting to the resort and around the Costa Dorada

PortAventura World sits between Salou and Vila-seca in Catalonia, with road access from the AP-7 and rail connections into the area from Barcelona and Tarragona. The resort publishes its own getting-here directions covering car, train and shuttle options, and that page is the reliable place to plan the final leg of the journey.

Driving guests can park free at the hotel subject to availability, which avoids the main visitor car park and keeps the car close to the room. If you arrive by train, plan the taxi or shuttle transfer to the resort before you travel rather than relying on finding one at the station.

Once on site, the parks, hotels and dining are within the resort complex, so you can leave the car parked for the whole stay. A day trip to the beaches at Salou or the old town of Tarragona is the usual way to break up a longer visit.

Hotel Caribe versus the other PortAventura World hotels

Hotel Gold River recreates a Western town setting and Hotel PortAventura has a Mediterranean design, both on the same resort and both carrying included park access. Hotel El Paso, Hotel Colorado Creek and Hotel Mansión de Lucy complete the on-site line-up, giving you six quite different themes to choose between.

Hotel Caribe stands out for its pool-centred layout and the Club San Juan Express entitlement, which is the clearest reason to pay the higher room rate. If you want the shortest walk to the gates or a specific theme for children, compare the other hotels' room grades on the same official site before booking.

Halloween and Christmas stays

PortAventura World runs Halloween from 19 September to 15 November 2026, and the resort promotes weekday stays during the Halloween and Christmas seasons with hotel-and-ticket packages. If you want the event atmosphere, build your stay inside that window, since park decoration and the Halloween passages are tied to it.

Halloween and Christmas periods are the resort's busiest, so Club San Juan's Express entitlement earns its keep more than in quiet months. Book the room grade you want early rather than assuming an upgrade will be available closer to the date.

Who should book elsewhere

Travellers who want a beach holiday with the parks as a side trip are usually better off in Salou, where you can walk to the sand and drive or take the bus to the resort. Hotel Caribe is inside the resort, so it suits people whose days revolve around the parks. If you are weighing a city-based park day against a resort stay, our Tibidabo guide covers the mountaintop alternative in Barcelona.

Groups who mainly want Ferrari Land's thrill rides, or who plan a single park day, get little from the nights-to-days structure and may prefer a Salou hotel plus separate tickets. Likewise, anyone visiting outside May to September should be comfortable that the pool will not be part of the trip.

Book Hotel Caribe With the Right Room Grade

Pick Standard if you need beds for a large family, and Club San Juan if you want the palm garden setting plus the Express entitlement for two days. Match the number of nights to the park days you actually want: one night gives two PortAventura Park days, and each extra night adds one more.

Check the official PortAventura World calendar and the Hotel Caribe booking page for live rates, park operating dates and seasonal offers before you commit. Rates move by date, and the Express product changes outside peak periods, so the price and perks you see on the day you book are the ones that apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included when you stay at Hotel Caribe PortAventura World?

A stay includes unlimited PortAventura Park access for the length of your booking plus one day of Ferrari Land entry per person, subject to Ferrari Land's opening calendar. The room rate covers the themed accommodation, use of the pool in its May to September season, the entertainment programme and hotel services; Caribe Aquatic Park tickets are discounted for stay dates but not included.

How many days of PortAventura Park access do you get per night at Hotel Caribe?

The official nights-to-days table gives two PortAventura Park days for a one-night stay, three days for two nights and four days for three nights. The extra day comes from arrival and departure days both counting, so even a single night supports two full park days. Ferrari Land stays at one day regardless of how long you book.

What is the difference between Standard and Club San Juan rooms at Hotel Caribe?

Standard Rooms start at 24 square metres, take up to eight people and offer a double bed with a single sofa bed plus other configurations. Club San Juan Deluxe Superior rooms start at 32 square metres, sleep up to four, sit inside a private palm garden enclosure, have their own restaurant and include a free Express product for PortAventura Park.

Does Hotel Caribe include Ferrari Land entry?

Yes, one day of Ferrari Land access per person is included with each stay. Ferrari Land operates on its own calendar, so confirm it is open on your dates before planning a day there, and remember that a longer stay does not add extra Ferrari Land days beyond that single day.

What restaurants are at Hotel Caribe?

Buffet Bohio is the main buffet, with a separate buffet and table-service restaurant for Club San Juan guests. La Bodeguita Del Medio serves drinks and snacks on a lake terrace, Coral Reef covers Italian and Mediterranean food, Puerto Viejo offers tapas, El Tinglado is the pirate-ship bar and Mango Bongo serves by the pool in summer.

Is Hotel Caribe good for families with young children?

It is well set up for families, with free baby cots subject to availability, a white sand pool open from May to September, a games area and an entertainment programme. The buffet format and multiple restaurants make mealtimes easy with children, and the included park days let you split visits into shorter stretches.
